![]() You may also want to check what BIOS version you are on as there have been a lot of BIOS updates which state "improve system stability" which normally means they've fixed issues such as PCI-e conflicts Do you really only have 1 harddrive installed? What sockets are your drives plugged in to as some of them share with the PCI-e as do some of the USB 3, you might want to disable the ones that share in the BIOS as well as disabling/removing the wireless card as well Forget any other software other than the BM Control panel and Media Express to start with, once they are working in there then you can worry about third party software.Īs I said earlier that board seems to share a lot of resources so that may well be what's causing the issue with the cards not working properly. You keep saying things like 'doesn't work' and doesn't see' but don't explain exactly what it is you expect. I have not played with anything in the BIOS I kind of want to know it's going to work beforehand. I hate to have to buy the paid version of Livestream at $800 as a troubleshooting measure. On the first computer, the monitor card is not even recognized by anything Windows, Black Magic, Livestream, etc. The free version of Livestream does not support the monitor card - and nothing else on the computer seems to, so I don't know if it works. I did move a monitor and Recorder card to another computer with a motherboard ASUS P9X79-E WS and they both seem to be recognized by Windows, but the Media Express app does not see the Recorder card. I am guessing to move GPU to Slot 1 and go from there, but have not gotten around to it. GPU - Zotac GeForce GTX580 Amp! (in Slot 5) Motherboard - ASUS P8Z77-V Pro/Thunderbolt with onboard WIFI Go module And having to explain this is adding to my frustration.Īdam, I gave some of the specs in previous posts in this thread. Some apps were installed that have nothing to do with the Decklink mini cards, like the Live Key app. Even after I installed the 'correct' software. Or maybe a page with a list of components and their associated software. You would think that if you go to the support page for the Mini Monitor card, there would be a link there to download the driver. You have to do quite a bit of digging to come to that conclusion. There isn't anything on the CD that tells you to install the 'Desktop Video' folder. Most of them are for other pieces of hardware and installing them has caused problems. Especially for someone not familiar with your products. And just looking at them, It is impossible to tell what they are for. This is sort of a side discussion, Chad, but there are ten folders of software on the CD. You also have to take into account that the wireless card is also going to be using a PCI-e bus lane so having that installed may also be conflicting The PCIe x1_2 default setting is disabled. ***The PCIe x1_2 shares bandwidth with SATA6G_E12. The PCIe x16_3 default setting is in x1 mode. **The PCIe x16_3 slot shares bandwidth with PCIe x1_1 slot,PCIe x1_2 slot, USB3_E34 and SATA6G_E12. *PCIe 3.0 speed is supported by Intel® 3rd generation Core™ processors. at x4 mode, compatible with PCIe x1 and x4 devices) You say the monitor doesn't work, but in what way doesn't it work?Īlso we need full system specs, just giving the motherboard doesn't say what else may be connected such as what CPU, what harddrives and where they are connected etc, this is important on this board as the other devices can interfere with devices in the PCI-e slots.Ģ x PCI Express 3.0*/2.0 x16 slots (single at 16 or dual at x8 / x8 mode)ġ x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot** (max. I doubt it's the wrong driver version for the monitor, it's a universal installer so when you install it the driver goes in for all devices. ![]() So, the motherboard probably has something to do with it, but the driver for the Monitor card is not right. I put the Monitor card and one of the recorders into another computer (different motherboard) and both appeared in the control panel dropdown. Control panel says that "Monitor output is not supported with this device" That's why I thought there was a separate driver for it. The monitor card does not show anywhere I put it. I removed one from 3 and the two remaining cards then appeared in the dropdown, but only one works. At the time, they were in slot 1, 2 and 3 - with the Monitor card in slot 7. In the BM Design Control panel, only one of two Recorder cards was listed in the dropdown. ![]() Really screwed things up and I had to uninstall everything. I guessed, and installed a couple of apps that created conflict with the Desktop Video Windows 10.2.1 that I downloaded from the website. In fact, it's probably the worst software packaging I have ever seen for a computer component. Looks like software for everything in the BM Design inventory, except for these cards. There are ten folders on the CD, and by the names of them it is impossible to tell what they are for.
